Greg Hilgenberg
Has been a member of Potomac Aikikai since 2009. He began his Aikido journey in 2002 and prior to Aikido he studied Wado-kai Karate. Under Hanif Sensei, he achieved Shodan in 2014, Nidan in 2017 and recently received the rank of Sandan in 2023.
He has served as President of Potomac Aikikai, Inc. (PAI) since 2016.
Ed Santos
Began his Aikido journey with Hanif Sensei in 2007. He achieved the rank of Shodan in 2013, Nidan in 2017 and was recently promoted to Sandan in 2023. He has been the beginner’s class instructor since 2009 and regularly leads many of the other Adult and Youth classes.
He has served on the PAI Board of Directors since 2016.
Thomas Boggs
Began his Aikido journey in 1992 and is a student of the late T.K. Lee of Houston. He joined Potomac Aikikai in 2009 and is currently ranked Yondan.
Thomas has served on the PAI Board of Directors since 2016.
Luigi Allado
Began his Aikido journey in 1995 in Makati, Philippines. He joined Potomac Aikikai in 2010 and under Hanif Sensei, attained the rank of Shodan in 2017
Lawrence Logan
Lawrence began his Aikido training in 2014 at the Tsukuba Aikido-Kai (つくば合気道会) Dojo under Suzuki Sensei while living in Japan. He achieved the rank of Shodan in 2017 before moving back to the US the following year and joining Potomac Aikikai. Prior to moving to Japan he actively practiced Shito-ryu Karate.
Lawrence was elected to the PAI Board of Directors in October 2020.
Ella Allado
Began her Aikido journey in Makati, Phillippines in 2003 and joined Potomac Aikikai in 2010. Promoted to Shodan in 2023, she can be seen assisting or leading the youth aikido classes.
